How to submit your work electronically:

Use Apple Share under the Chooser to log into the Manhattan server. Select the Classes partition. Drag your "jpg" files into the intro_cad class folder.

Image size:

Unless otherwise instructed, save your images at medium-quality JPG format at 832 x 624 resolution. This is the size of the medium setting for the Mac monitor, so that your work can be shown effectively in Netscape and within a JPEG-View slide show. You can submit up to three images for each assignment. See below for specs for creating a thumbnail icon of each image.

File naming conventions:

€ Use your last and first name: jones.jane
€ The first assignment is abbreviated as: a1
€ The first image for assignment one is: a1.1
€ Assignment one, Part Two, would be: a1.2
€ Assignment two, Part Two, would be: a2.2
€ Use the extension: .jpg
€ The final result is: jones.jane.a1.1.jpg

Note:

€ Separate each word with a period (.)
€ Use lower case (NO CAPITAL LETTERS PLEASE!!)
€ No spaces, commas, semi-colons, etc. in file names!
€ If your name is very long, use your first initial: jonesbrother.j.a1.1.jpg

Rejected Work:

All files that are incorrectly named will be dumped into the "rejected work folder" for the IntroCAD class. This is located in the Classes folder on the Manhattan server. All rejected work should be resubmitted using proper naming conventions. No rejected work will be graded.

The right file names and sizes for the images of Assignment One: (the 2nd and 3rd images are optional but highly recommended)

jones.jane.a1.1.jpg (image 832x624)
jones.jane.a1.1.x.jpg (logo 128x128)

jones.jane.a1.2.jpg (image 832x624)
jones.jane.a1.2.x.jpg (logo 128x128)

jones.jane.a1.3.jpg (image 832x624)
jones.jane.a1.3.x.jpg (logo 128x128)

You must submit a small, 128- x 128-pixel logo for each full-size image you submit. Use the cropping tool (while holding down 'shift') in photoshop to make your image an exact square, then, under the "image size" window reduce the size to 128 x 128 pixels (not inches!). Name this logo as shown above, by adding "x." to the filename.

Identify yourself and the project:

Your images should include a small text label, created in Photoshop, which includes your name and the assignment number (a2, a3, etc.). Where appropriate, use Photoshop to merge and overlay several views in the same image.
